I think it was Stevie Nicks The Other Side of the Mirror.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

This was right when CD's were issued in L.A. It was Elvis Presley's first album, Elvis. Not much to choose from back then but RCA sure jumped on the technology. My dad still has it and I listened to it. Sounded terrible compared to new remasters. No mastering to Digital back in those days. Just straight dump to CD from 2 track masters.

Easy.. I was still deployed in Germany back in 1990 and didn't have a CD player yet, but I found Paul McCartney's 'Unplugged' in a record shop in Giessen, and I had JUST read in Newsweek that it was only a limited release.

Didn't have a CD Player for a couple of years later, but it's such a GREAT CD.

I hate to say it, but it was the Miami Vice Soundtrack (1984).

Funny. I recall how much those fetched back when it came and hoopla on being limited. Of course it as was all marketing to shift units.
I did find out that the Vinyl version was rare only available in Spain. I did get that for a good deal.
Yes, great album and love it. I would prefer to see and hear the complete session. Any leads?

I was a little late to the club.
My first one was Bruce Springtein - BORN IN THE USA !
It rocked my Firebird, with the T-tops off.
                  And the woman, were mine!
                  Yes, yes !!

I bought 2 at once to celebrate my new CD boombox. Sgt. Pepper--bought it in June 1987 when it was first released on CD and Dark Side of the Moon.

I don't recall who I bought the pot from, but obviously, there was smoking to be done that evening.

"So" by Peter Gabriel was the first CD I bought. Oddly, it's one of the only early CD purchases I still like.

If you would have asked a few years ago, there was a GREAT on-line site selling hundreds of hours of rare vintage Fab (group and solo) video, gobs of unseen (or seldom-seen) videos and newsreels, the Unplugged VH1 special was one of them I didn't get a chance to get before Apple told him not to sell anymore.

I bought the extensive rare Harrison solo/Wilbury DVDs, plus some '65/'66 rare footage (including the '65 Blackpool appearance!) and it's excellent. Excellent quality.

I'd check eBay or piratebay.org (caution: illegal site, but LOTS of rare stuff..).
