For me concerts are more like religious pilgramages than pure entertainment
as I look at them as "mostly" a hassle, yet a necessary evil to connect "live" with
artists and music that I respect

    With that being said...

I will be seeing VH with Roth this October---and I look forward to that

Have a great time at the ALICE IN CHAINS/VELVET REVOLVER show!

            Concerts!

I been to many concerts growing up, not any as of late. My first concert was Ted Nugent back in the 70's, 2nd was Kiss I guess mid 70's they had the full make up and everything, my brother & myself went along with the parents. My first concert without my parents or brother was " Yes " cant remember the year- maybe 1984? From there i saw Ozzy twice,Dio, Motley Crue,Bon Jovi ( when he was an opening band for Ratt) Judas Priest, Aerosmith twice, Bruce Spingstein, Iron Maiden , Zebra, Blondie, Kiss in the 90's no make up, Anthrax , Don Henley & the list goes on & on. But back in the 80's i didnt pay more then 14 bucks for a tciket, maybe 16. Most of the time my friends and i would wait until the show started and the scalpers would drop their price way down to 12 bucks at times.

            Yep fun times back then.

Haven't been to any in a looong time. I think the sticker shock of ticket prices is what's doing us in as far as going. Last time REM was thru here it was 75 bucks!! Frickin' crazy.

USED to be. I used to go all the time. Back in the day when you had to wait out all night for tickets, we used to do that all the time. Slowed way down in the 90's and in last few years only hit about one a year. Usually smaller shows a buddy of mine (who's a music distrubutor) get's us into for free. Usually get to meet the act afterwards though, so that's cool. The last couple years I've had the chance to meet and chat one on one with a couple of my all time favorites. Been pretty cool.

Yeah, me and Dafne go to concerts and festivals all the time. I've seen so many bands in the past 15 years there are just too many to mention, almost all metal bands

                          Concerts!!

The Van Halen re-union should be cool, i just it would have happened 10 years ago. Pink Floyd should do one last farewell tour, but it doesnt seem likley.

I also you used wait out all night for concert tickets, once we did this in NY, i think for Billy Squire, my cousin and myself among 30 more people who sat out on line al night woke up at like 4am to have close to an inch of snow on top of us, it was wild, the crowd was cool though, a friendly snowball fight took place then we got our tickets.
