yeah this last go around, a lot of dealers said that they had had enough. They said the show had steadily declined over the years and its not a fraction of what it used to be. There are no toy shows around where I live so I will still go regardles.Comment

FX has been going up against Megacon for the Orlando market and it appears Megacon has won. The move to a May date may have been an attempt to distance even more from Megacon. Not a lot of vintage toys at Megacon, but they advertise much better than FX and are at the same venue. As was said, many of the vendors I know for up north will not be returning even if FX does happen. I think the problem is with the promoter Mike Hertz. He's been phoning it in for a few years now.sigpic "Only an apostate would flee to the Forbidden Zone"Comment

I have been going to the FX show for almost twenty years. I think I have only missed one or two. I agree that the date change last year was a teribble mistake. Still, I walked away with more good deals on vintage toys last year than I have in the past 2-3 years. I saw a complete Remco Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea playset loose and complete for $300 and I almost never even see pieces to that one. I also saw other people spending money. For me, the downer was having it later in the year and Leonard Nimoy charging $65 for an autograph which wasn't happening as far as I was concerned. Other than that I thought it was a good show. I sincerely hope they do not cancel it. Megacon is the place to go for comics and Jap animation stuff but FX has always been THE Florida show for vintage toys.- SweepComment
