I always thought "Don't let me down" was on Let it Be

Don't let me down is one of my favorite Beatle songs from the famous roof top sessions. My partner asked me which album it was on. I was almost certain that it was on Let It be, but its not, weird that?

I still don't consider the CD's to be the definitive official release of Beatle albums for the whole world.

It's ok to standardize the catalog like they did, but one should never forget the true releases.

CD or no CD Hey Jude was a true Beatles album

Thanks Mike, Hey Jude must be a US release only, never heard of this Beatle album, also Hey Jude was never released on a Beatles studio album in the UK (as far as I know) I've just downloaded Let It Be Naked (listening to it now ) It has Don't let me down on it. I always thought that it should have been on the Let It be album, I wonder why they left it off, its such a great song.

It was in the movie a couple of times.., just not on the released LP.

And yes, Hey Jude was an Allen Klein US-release to capitalize on singles never released on LPs.

It was Klein's deal to make fast income for the Fabs at a critical time when he was making promises to John, George, and Ringo they'd stop losing money and encourage them to sign with him, effectively bringing the Fabs under his management overrulling Paul's suggestion for the Eastman family.

I really like that Let It Be Naked album. It is probably the one that I play the most these days.
              It's all good!

I use to play out Hey Jude/The Beatles Again. Loved I'm Down and Rain. I like the Past Masters collection better now.
