I thought he was a complete ****** and I loved him. I hope that Fridays comes out on DVD someday so I can upgrade my copy of his meltdown with Kramer. The Lawlor stuff is priceless.Comment

Surprise people didn't get him.
He loved messing with people. That was his schtick and although many people don't like him, I thought he was funny. He was psychologically screwing with people and took it very far. Never knew when to quit.
My friend recorded all this stuff back in the day and one day I went over my friend's place and we had a Kauffman fest. Walked like someone messed with my head.
Very interesting to me.
Then the Kauffman movie came out and it was terrible. Did not justice to his schtick.Comment

Just like Stern, too much "real wreckage" in his "fake act" to really be a fan.
I am intrigued tho---but heck, I'm intrigued with genocidal dictators
and murderous cult leaders too---so, you know
But, I'll add that if peeps like kw actually still think that Lawler wasn't in

The ONLY thing I ever liked from him was his Mighty Mouse skit on SNL....I couldn't stand Latka Gravas or any of his other appearances/characters. Very annoying....but I suppose that's the way he wanted it....Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I found Kaufman corny and his stuff got old with me fast.....
