Griffey would have broken Aaron's record easy if he didn't have all the injuries. I don't believe he'll get there now(not sure where he sits now), but that's just it, his body gave out on him, and he declined like human beings naturally do, Bonds got better in his 40's, yeah that's normal!

This not a rule set in stone, but why are most outstanding players usually on teams that suck ?

I was the biggest Baseball fan up until the 94 Strike Season. That just killed all my love for the game at the Pro Level. No World Series???? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot????

Then comes 1998. I'm still stinging from the whole Strike Season....but we have a race between Sosa and McGwire to break the single season Homerun record. And fortune made it come down to a game between the Cardinals and Cubs. I was in college, in a night class, and I excused myself from class to find a television in the library to watch McGwire get a HR off of Steve Trachsel. Gawd, did I go to great lengths to witness that Bull**** moment.

That race is credited with pulling MLB out of the slump it went into from the Strike Season of 94. AND it was ALL Bull****. (I long suspected it...but now it is confirmed.)

          **** MLB.

I'm telling you, that Strike Season changed everything. Major League Baseball will never be the same until they reboot.

16 Years removed from a strike season and ALL of your high-points and records are BS!

No, it is normal for your hat size to get bigger throughout your career.

McGwire probably won't sniff the HOF. Neither will Palmeiro or Sosa. Guys like Clemens and Bonds will be more interesting because much of their careers took place before they began steroid use. They had already extablished themselves as HOFers before that. The others had too much of their HOF careers built after (and, most likely, solely because of) their steroid use. Guys like Bonds and Clemens won't get in in the near future, but they may much later.

the weaker the team the better draft pick
