Original ECW bingo hall babies. Some sick sick stuff happened between the b9's and g42's. Broken necks and small paychecks but ECW has some of my most memorable moments. The night they filled the ring with chairs, just makes you go wow. or start chanting holy shi^, holy shi^, holy shi^. Dang i need some hardcore now. I mean wrestling sickos.

I do. I went to see ECW live quite a few times. It was played on late Saturday nights on MSG network here in NY. ECW was the best, sadly now its unwatchable.

The original ECW was AWESOME!!!! Those guys were freakin insane! Went to see them in Elizabeth NJ, it was off the hook. There was a 3way tag team match that came crashing into the audience fists a flying, chairs a flyin, people getting elbows. The brawl was comning towards us real fast, we had a 13yr old kid with us who just froze, like a dear in the head lights. I grabbed him by the back of his jacket and yanked him out of the way just as he was about to get crushed. AWESOME!!
The only thing that sucked when watching on tv was there was so much boring talking inbetween matches.

I would love to get a bunch of them on dvd.

I miss the old ECW. Back when Steve Austin was a Hulk Hogan clone. Before the Stone Cold gimmick.

I had heard about it, but couldn't see it in Ohio. I somehow convinced my dad (who hated wrestling) to tape it for me & mail me the tapes every time 6 hours was recorded. Great stuff. I saw it live 3 or 4 times that I remember, but it was already declining by then. Dreamer, Raven, Richards, Public Enemy, Sandman - some pretty average wrestlers who turned it up to 11 and caught lightning in a bottle.

I have several HUNDRED hrs of original ecw tv tapings. All on VHS and completely uncatalogued. probably about 30-40 tapes with ecw, njpw, ajwp, aaa, but 75% is ecw tv. They've been sitting in a cardboard box for last 10-15 years. I just don't have the time to convert them to DVD and edit commercials and catalogue what matches are on what tape.
ROH has definitely filled the void that was left, but I'd rather watch MMA.
