For anyone interested, this is a convention that I have been attending faithfully for 15 years. This coming show, I will actually be premiering my new novel one month before it hits the market.

If you want to beat the winter doldrums, and don't live too far from Maryland, I recommend coming:

This convention was started 17 years ago by Steven H. Wilson, who also happens to be the owner of Firebringer Press, my publisher! I met him at my first Farpoint in 1995 and we've been friends since. He's a great guy who throws a great convention centered around good times for the fans.

Lots of discussion panels, activities, movie rooms, Ten Forward dance on Saturday night, etc.

Pre-registration ends January 15. Sorry for the late notice but I've been away from this forum for a few months and just jumped back on today....

I just learned that I am going to be a guest at this convention in less than four weeks! I thought I was merely getting a table to do book signings but I was asked to do a brief write up about myself for the convention's program book and participate in some of the programming. I might be asked to do a reading from my novel, not sure yet but I was told that my publisher is throwing a premiere party for me!

Granted, compared to the actors and veteran writers in attendance, I'm a minor guest but you gotta start somewhere!

That would be awesome! I JUST got email from my publisher (Steve) tonight that he has scheduled the premiere party for my book for 10:30PM Friday night of the convention in the Con Suite.

It is right after his cast's live performance of one of their audio shows which will include the voice talents of Felicia Day and Lee Arenberg. Steve writes, directs and acts original SF radio shows for his Prometheus Radio Theatre (Prometheus Radio Theatre). The shows are excellent and his actors do a phenomenal job. In fact, Prometheus has won both the Parsec and Mark Time awards. You can download their shows for free from their site.

Yet another reason to come to Farpoint and be entertained.

And they got MATT FREWER!!!! I've been doing cons for over 20 years and I am STILL a celeb junkie.
