    I'm Back!

    Hey folks,

I've been away from this forum for months and am glad to be back. I've been gone so long that when I logged in today, there was a message reminding me that I have not posted for several weeks and that I should take a few moments to engage in discussion, etc.

To re-intro myself, I am a long time Mego Star Trek collector. I have all of the original series Trek 8" Mego figures of the bridge crew both on the card and loose. My MOC Kirk, Spock, and Uhura were signed in person by Shatner, Nimoy and Nichelle Nichols, respectively.

I also have Dr. Mego's Chekov and Sulu 8" to round out the bridge crew and I have his Romulan repro. I have two EMCE Khan's, one sealed and the other opened and on the original MEGO bridge hovering behind Kirk. I have the EMCE Gorn, Keeper and two Andorians.

In the STTMP set, I have all 12" figures MIB with perfect facial tones and all 6 of the 3.75" bridge crew with Scotty signed by the late James Doohan many years ago.

That's about the extent of my Mego collection but I remain on the hunt for the STTMP 3.75" aliens (Klingon, Arcturian, Rigellian, Megarite, etc, etc). I just don't want to pay an arm and a leg for them if I can help it.

So, here I am after months apart from you all. The reason for my absence was partially due to an extremely hectic work schedule but it was mostly due to the publication of my first novel! Yes, I have officially become a published author!

Now, to be clear, this is not a sales pitch. I don't expect anyone here to buy anything. I did come back to this forum after months away to sell you anything. I don't care if you buy the book or not, I'm just sharing an accomplishment that I've been working towards for 7 years.

Now, the last time I was on this forum, some folks were nice enough to send MEGO Star Trek trading cards. In return, I promised them each a free copy of my novel in February. I intend to keep that promise. Books should be shipped out in two to three weeks to the four or five people here at helped me collect those cards.

Anyway, despite an insane work schedule and the fact that I am 30,000 words into another novel, I hope to be able to spend a little more time here again.

    Thanks!
    Phil Giunta

        Thanks, guys.

If you are interested in more info about the book, feel free to peek at my Facebook group. I made the group public so that you do not need a FB account to read about it (see below). Not sure why the link comes up as Incompatible Browser. The link works fine on my PC. If you have problems, let me know.

What you will find here is the ISBN, release date and availability, a summary of the story and other stuff.
