i went and saw it a second time yesterday with my wife. She had no interest in it and is not a big Sci-fi fan but I told her she had to see it. You know what, she loved it and wants to go see it again. 3D does not add a lot to the movie, but it does add to the experience. It was so cool sitting in the theater as they are walking through the jungle and you see the insects flying around your head and the fern branches coming out around you while the camera follows them.

just read in entertainment weekly that the DVD will have at least 40 minutes additional footage put in and that there will be a sequel.

But seriously...CGI done right...can be fantastic.

The list is very different if it's adjusted for inflation...

Great movie and I would also love to see it again at the IMAX in 3D.
Yea. Same thing happened here (US). After reading various synopsis of the movie and the reviews of people I trust, Avatar sounds like a movie I've seen a number of times and quite honestly, I don't know if I want to see that movie again. Amazing technical achievements aside, couldn't I just watch A Man Called Horse again and call it good?
                Hey! Check out the pictures.
