I kind of liked some of the toy-related stuff I posted on MySpace, so I haven't yet decided whether I'm deleting the whole account or not, but I will no longer be active there after a day or two. I've been getting nothing but friend requests from 12-year-olds and porn spam. Most of my real-life friends(who I don't see often because they still live in York) are using Facebook to plan events and such, so I yielded to peer pressure. I've added most of you that I recognize from MySpace already and am looking for others. I'm on there by my real name if you know it, or you can search by my email address. Feel free to contact me there. I also deleted my Twitter account because...well, let's face it. Twitter is basically useless.

Moving from Myspace to Facebook

I have been finding a lot of people have migrated from Myspace to Facebook and are having more interaction on there.
Why?
On Myspace people try and get crafty and "build their own" pages. The majority of them just goto those "pimp your space" sites and copy html codes....most them don't know in some of those things you copy and paste are hidden links that send garbage and spyware into your temp files on your computer that eventually slow your computer way down from the loads of spyware that embeds itself into your system.
Some people have so many applications and items on their Myspace page it takes 2 minutes for their page to load. It is a nightmare.
With Facebook, everything is universal. White pages and simple links and tabs that you can build with photos albums and information (whatever you want to put up there) and you don't have to deal with a million applications firing up at once while your browsing on someone's page.
Myspace has become more of a kid's hangout. Kids for some reason get a kick out of decorating their Myspace with flaming text geneators and music playlists.
Not my cup of tea (unless I am trying to promote my band).
On Facebook, I am just there to talk with my old friends from school and have simple conversations. If I chose to run or do some kind of game, it links me to another are on Facebook.
Plus....we have moved our Hell Forum to a discussion area on Facebook and they have allowed us to make it a private group which is now holding over a hundred members. Facebook really has become interesting and has moved way past Myspace in everything.
So, if you like slow, blogging, annoying websites with movies, playlists and colorful pages that take forever to load then Myspace is your thing.
Of course, not everyone's Myspace page is like that. There are some people with common sense.....
Meet me on Facebook!!
Facebook recently changed their setup and you can now save your URL name tags....
Anyone on here want to find me.

I was on FB for a year or so but finally shut it down. Too many security issues for me. My wife is still on. I figure anyone I really wanted to stay in touch with from highschool I did stay in touch with.Comment
