    a request for my Mom!

I was thinking. Maybe a crazy request, but what the heck...

My Mom's been having a rough time since my Dad passed away.
She just can't find any reasons to get out of bed every morning, even though we try to keep her busy.

She's 76 now, but she's still interested in the world around her. Huge fan of LOTR, Freddy Mercury, Prison Break, House.
She would like to travel the world, but she doesn't have the energy anymore.

She collects post cards, and I thought, what if she got some from all over the world? It would make a nice change from going to the mailbox and finding only bills! See the world by post card!

If anyone would like to send her a card from your neck of the woods, that would be supercool!
Just a request, though. I will still love you all if you don't.
    Well, most of you, anyway....

PM me if you want to join in!

I was thinking of the very same idea, but for a geography lesson for my daughter. I would be glad to send your mom a note, and when we get to that area in our schooling, you can swap me back so my girl will know where Belgium is.

I love the idea. I live fairly close to Washington D.C. so I'm sure I can find a D.C. related post card and I also live in the town where Francis Scott Key is buried (author of the U.S. National Anthem).

Send me your mom's address and I'll find a few cool postcards to mail her way.

I'm overwhelmed by everyone's response to this.
                          Wow!
Everytime I answered a PM, I got two new ones.
My Mom will be so surprised: "Who the **** are all these people?"

Customs might grab it ... They might say you're not allowed to send smells internationally
