Like people have anything better to do than watch some eyeball candy for 3 hours. BTW I just watched Sherlock Holmes and it was just ok, felt longer than Avatar.

Titanic was a better movie though. I'm not sure it deserves to be highest grossing of all time, but I'm content with it being that way. Nobody is even close when you factor in inflation though. Tickets to see Avatar are like what, $20 for Imax and 3-D? And the movie is only really good like that. Cameron's a genius in that sense.

Avatar wasn't outstanding but I enjoyed it more than most movies. I think movie goers are hard to please, with the technology we have these days, expectations are always going to be on the high side. The movie that surprised me though was Transformers. I went in thinking it was going to suck and it didn't. Go figure.

I'll watch Avatar but I'm not in any big hurry to watch it. I did see Sherlock Holmes and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I also went to see The Road and then went home and stuffed my cheeks full of anti-depressants.

              Good movie though.

Just came back from watching Avatar...and I loved it.

                      Best CGI I've ever seen.

That alien chick (played by Zoe Saldana) was HOT...yes...I now have the hots for a 12 foot blue alien with a tail...lol.

I paid $12.50 for an IMAX 3D noon showing...not too shabby.

It really captured an alien world as good...if not better...than anything I've previously seen on screen...I really believed that world existed.

The fauna, the animals, everything...was wondrous to me.

Heck...I was even impressed how they CGI the legs of the leading actor...Sam Worthington...he really looked paraplegic...with those added skinny no muscle legs...outstanding.

I did like the first part a lot more though...how Worthington's alien avatar persona...is exploring this world. The second part...were the fighting begins...was not as interesting to me.

Great to finally see the bulk of the humans as the baddies...

I personally think James Cameron is a jerk...but love him or hate him...he's a damn good filmmaker.

I know...I know...the popularity and hype...and Cameron at the helm...turns off a lot of people...but Avatar was awesome to me.
