Going Rate For The Tooth Fairy?

My daughter lost her first tooth last night and all I had was a $20.

I hope she does not expect a $20 for every tooth.

What is the going rate for the tooth fairy these days?

we gave each of our kids $10 for the first tooth and $2 for any tooth after.....my youngest lost her first tooth the end of November and her second the very next morning.

i give my kids $1.00 but the first is diffrent so $20.00 aint horrible since it was her first just make sure she understands that the tooth fairy lives in a economy that is really low right now and not to expect that everytime lol

Going rate for my kids was $5 a tooth. I once splurged and gave the oldest a $20 but thats when he knew there was no tooth fairy. I think the kids know this year that the tooth fairy is suffering from the recession just like everyone else.

We go $5 per tooth no specials for firsts and no extra for knock outs either.
