    Somthing to think about.

Although identical twins have the same DNA they do not thave the same finger prints. With that being so would a clone have the same fingerprints?

I am by no means a scientist but have thought about the cloning topic quite a bit and can only offer strong opinions (right or wrong).

I would think that a perfect clone would think the prints and everything would be identical to the original. I don't know if it is possible to create a perfect clone if this exactness does not happen. However, even a perfect clone would be an individual. Because for the cloned individual to be exact, the circumstances of experience would also have to be exact. And this would be impossible, even if the clone was born on the same date as the original, it would be completely impossible for the two to share the exact same life experiences (although it would be more likely they'd be similar than if one was born 40 or 140 years ago and one today). Would a clone of Lincoln be so good or say Hitler be such hideous monster if raised in a completely different set of circumstances. It really should make one wonder because we are all the sum of our dna (genes) combined with our life experiences. But regardless, and not to change the topic but, I think the whole idea of creating clones to farm body parts for use by the original or something of that nature would be morally wrong because the clone would have an individual soul of it's own.

But that does surprise me about twins. I wonder if any identical twins share fingerprints but reversed, like mirrored image? That would be something.

I do not think so, because i think prints grow with the finger, so if I broke a finger, etc as a kid, the print would not be the same because of the growth.

The same if I had a huge nose due to a break, the clone would have a perfect nose.

When I was about 18, my buddies, and I used to ponder such questions when we were sampling certain " agricultural products".
