For me, the Godfather was an acquired taste.
I never watched it until the mid 80's ...
At that time my nephew was really into it and got me to try it ... Like you I was bored too, but after MAKING myself sit through it I was happy I did... It lead me into wanting to see Godfather-2 --- which I thought 2 was a lot better than 1.
After watching 2 and loving it, I then went back and rewatched 1 ... On this viewing I appreciated and enjoyed it more.
Like I said, it's an acquired taste that many people don't like on their first viewing.

If you are 37 minutes into it you still have another 3 hours. The movie is ok but to me not the best. I wouldn't watch it again.Leave a comment:

Ok, I FINALLY got a chance to load up my blu-ray of the Godfather. Yes, I am one of the 12 people in the world who has never seen it. 34 minutes into it and I am extremely bored. Does is pick up at all?
