Whats your state called

Ohio is called the Buckeye State for all the Buckeye trees we use to have ,whats your states nickname? The idea just came from something I saw on TV.

As far as I know the province of Ontario has no nickname, but Toronto is often called Hogtown!

---Lists Alberta as "the sunshine province"? I've lived here all my life and have NEVER heard it called that!? Alberta used to be known as "Wild Rose Country" at least according to the license plates. It has also been called "Flatland" by some Eastern friends of mine...who obviously never saw the North or West sides of the province. The way its grown in the last few years it should be called "the place where everybody here is from somewhere else"!!
