Yeah but this report has been in dispute. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora vehemently dispelled the report that Cowher was staying at CBS, as originally reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Even if he does come back, I sincerely doubt he'd bother with the disaster that is my Buffalo Bills franchise at the moment. I hate to say it but if I were him, I'd go back to the booth if Buffalo is his only choice; even if it is a Cowher-like environment in Buffalo.

Well the pending 2011 lock-out is of concern if he wants to come back. If not now, they say not until 2012 and he won't be in as much demand by then and will 7 years out from his Super Bowl win.

ESPN is saying Jeff Fisher or Jack del Rio is being looked at to take Pete Carroll's place at USC. So there could be another NFL opening if that happens.
