    Any New Year's TOY resolutions??

For myself, not in any specific order of importance-

    -Complete my 12" monster customs
    -Attempt some Mego customs
-Aquire a bionic Bigfoot, Zogg, 1 nice vintage robot (and too many more to list)
-Start collecting more 3 3/4 lines that I've wanted to get around too (Buck Rogers, Black Hole, fill holes in SW and BSG, COTT, GI Joe etc)
-More mego overall- I'm seriously lacking a good WGSH collection.
-I'd really like to start collecting some things purely for nostalgic reasons, rather than because it fit's any sort of esthetic. ie-more 80's toys
-Open up the wallet and stop looking for the best deals all the time, the number one reason I don't have 90% of the stuff I want is I always figure I'm going to find it in a hidden auction "some day".
-Post some photo's of my collection without worring if it's "good enough".
-get rid of the boxes of junk in the closet AKA collect quality and not quantity, If it can't be displayed I dont need to keep it. Castle greyskull is extremly hard to display, and I'm not a huge He-man fan, but I hold on to this because it's so cool. Maybe get slime pit and hope to be satified with that.

I'm sure there's TONS more, hopefully will be a great and busy year for toys.
    I'm sure there's

Become better at sculpting no matter what scale.

Finish at least one custom in 1:6 scale from Planet of the Apes.

Sculpt T'Pau's chair and finish T'Pau.
Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
Samples of my work are found here: Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness

      To do list:
1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
      1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;

Toy resolutions? I've only got 2:

        1) Complete more custom MEGO creations.

        AND

        2) Snatch up six (6) of the new BIG (more accurate) Hasbro AT-AT walkers if and when they are released in 2010 (in time to celebrate Episode V's 30th Anniversary).

There are some whispers in the collecting community that a giant (closer to scale) AT-AT walker is the secret big new vehicle that they are planning to un-veil at Toy Fair this year.

Advanced photos have already surfaced of the gorgeous new Twin Pod Cloud Car (from Cloud City) and the incredible, new, much more accurate Rebel Armored Snowspeeder.

So it's gonna be a good collecting year.

            Hmmmm....

I have three buildings and a giant robot that need finishing. And Pulsar needs a working head.

Save some money...and gun for a 1940 Ideal Superman composition wooden figure...my Superman grail for sure.

Perhaps a Superman Bowen statue as well (I have the mini version).

Oh yeah...and a carded Mego Supergirl too.

Gots to save lots of money though...

Oh there's ALWAYS new STAR WARS toy news ramping up to the beginning of the New Year, what with Toy Fair in February and all.

                  It's all very exciting.

Hasbro has promised that this is going to be a serious year for celebrating the 30th Anniversarry of The Empire Strikes Back.

I just hope with every fiber of my being that the rumors of an all-new bigger, more accurate, AT-AT walker are true. I've never really cared for the current toy design, and I'll gladly sell off the ones I have to make room for some new ones.

The Rebel Armored Snowspeeder has been re-visited by Hasbro in an attempt to correct all of the bad mistakes of the previous versions of the toy (based on the vintage Kenner mold):

                  1) Scale-wise, it was actually too LARGE (believe it or not)
                  2) The cockpit was so badly designed that action figures could only recline on their backs facing virtually upward.
                  3) No working brake flaps (as seen in the movie)
                  4) Scribe lines on the ship's surface panels were raised (instead of recessed like they should be).

Here's an advanced photo of the prototype test-shot:

And after YEARS of denials by Hasbro that a new Cloud City Twin Pod Cloud Car would ever be offered up (not an "aggressive enough" ship, they said), THIS photo surfaced early this month of a prototype test shot of the toy coming out in 2010:

Unlike the vintage Kenner version (which was already nice), this version has retractable laser cannons that appear out of the center engine cluster AND, the heat fin panels at the backs of each pod are separate pieces rather than just molded on.

Looks like a serious piece of business.

                  .

And create more Batman 66 and monster customs

In the early 1990s I had one on layaway from a SERIOUS toy show " mostly tin stuff. 50dollars with repacement cape. I had it half paid off before I said I just can't afford it . They were very understanding. I would have just sat around and worried about it.

My resoulutions are to be more toned down in collecting. I do intend to try my hand at some custom characters Mego sized.

Mego - I'd like to find a large S Superman, Solid Box Robin, an Aussie WW head and WGSH counter display. Reaching for the stars I know. Also add to my carded and boxed collection and add some T1 and T2 WGSHs.
DCUC - complete waves 8 and 9 and continue collecting the line in 2010
