anyone remember this Dick Tracy item? please I need some help here

    Hey guys
when I was 10 and the Dick Tracy movie came out in 1990 I bought a pair of shoes

I can't remember exactly what brand it was but I'm pretty sure it was Converse, That's right Dick Tracy Converse sneakers or maybe vans. Anyone remember these? I remember buying them at JC Penny. i would love to own a pair since I'm collecting Dick tracy items only from the 90 film.

Please any help locating these or any info would be great,I know I still have the box somewhere since I stored my cards in there but I can't find it

    thanx for any help guys

A bit off topic but I remembering having a Madonna doll from that movie.
I got it at my local video store.
It was about 12" high ...
Rag doll from the waist down with real cloth dress.
From the waist up it was vinyl.

Weird thing about it, I remember it not only having boobs but nipples too.
Was the first time (and perhaps only time) I seen nipples of a female doll

I remember being with my Mom at the mall during the blitz for the Dick Tracy movie. I was 15. They had Dick Tracy fedoras. I loved the look of a fedora, and I bought a black one. My mom was convinced I'd never wear it. She was right. I just wasn't "edgy" enough to bring that fashion back to Harrison County High.

I actually have that Madonna doll somewhere in my Collection.

I wore a Stetson in the 80's as a teen and have various Hats I still wear in the summer and winter. Nothing is cooler than wearing a stylish hat with a long overcoat.

I'm not sure what you wanna spend but I'd think in an adult size in decent shape these shoes would sell for $100+. Vintage sneaker folks love wild designs like these shoes and in general vintage Vans are pretty hot right now--specially in Japan.....

                        I saw a Japanese store/blog asking around $200 for a size 6.5 hi top......

I remember going to see that film at the end of 8th grade!

This guy I went to school with, who jumped on EVERY fashion trend (wore his pants insideout when the NKOTB did it) wore a yellow trenchcoat and fedora the first year of high school... Miami High. Ya, that was brilliant.

Don't ask me what he did when Batman Returns came out. You don't want to know.

I have a few items tucked away from that flop. I have still never seen the whole movie. I have a Madonna and Dick Tracy doll. They are approx Mego size or maybe a bit bigger but more like a rag doll body (as mentioned above). I also have a couple figural head mugs of the same two characters. I think I have some other odds and ends as well.
