Urban Meyer steps down at Florida

I'm a little shocked, but not blown away. I don't know if it's family or the pros.

Wow....I don't know what to say. I'm a little shocked.

As a Big Twelve Fan, you might expect me to be happy, but I'm not. Urban Myer was a good fit and he did a flawless job at Florida.

Zemo, I'm actually saddened by the news. I hope you guys find a great replacement.

Guess he was worried about the post Tebow era. The AP says it was chest pains following the beating at the SEC Championship game.

Man, did we ever have that kind of year at Oklahoma AND Oklahoma State. All the promise in the world....yet, you go on without excuse.

Florida will survive this. Once you make it to the top, you tend to stay there in the long run. (That's not to say that Oklahoma State has ever made it to the top.....hell, you know what I mean with these sentiments.)

They're citing medical issues as the reason. One article I read said he'd "be in for the fight of his life". He was previously diagnosed with a benign cyst on his brain. Hope that didn't turn worse. Was kinda sudden. That's usually not a good sign. If he was going pro I think there would have been some inkling of it in the media. I don't follow college that closely but I never heard a thing.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Just saw where he has reconsidered leaving and will instead take a leave of absence.
