    Coolest Gift You Gave!!!

The coolest gift I gave this year was a 1 terabyte external hard drive.

I gave it to my wife and when she opened it, she was like "***, why do I need this?"

I took it and hooked it up. The surprise was on the drive, 148,000 songs from about 1950 to today.

My wife is a music junkie and about flipped out when she saw it.

Plus I got her an iPod and a loudspeaker system for it.

I got it from a guy at work who bought one from a DJ and he just copies it and sells it for the cost of the hard drive and a few extra dollars.

To explain the size of this thing, the 1 terabyte hard drive only has 250 gigabytes left. That is 750 gigabytes of music.

Well, I gave The Falcon a bunch of classic Marvel comics and some Marvel T-shirts from Target.

I got my husband a Super Powers Batmobile, which he's wanted since he was a kid. I also got my aunt an old metal ice bucket. She's into fun bar accessories and has asked for one before. This one has ivy etched into the rim and either a glass or pyrex liner. After opening it, she wouldn't stop talking about it.

I gave my husband an Ion USB turntable so he can transfer all his vinyl to his iPod. (Read: so *I* can transfer all his vinyl to his iPod)

I also got my dad a bunch of soccer magazines from Uruguay from the 1970's, plus a dvd copy of all the live Murga performances from this past Caranval in Uruguay.

My Grandma is nearly 90 and a huge Oklahoma Sooners fan. I got her one of those Snuggies, you know the blanket with sleeves, in an Oklahoma print and she loved it. She told me should could read while she watched her games on TV. You gotta love a practical gift, I guess.

I restored an 1860-80s (not sure) photo of my wife's father's great great (I'm not sure how many times removed) grandfather. Took and repaired cracks, restored the oval frame and had it double matted and mounted with the original convex oval glass cover. It looks awesome. And this guy looks allot like my father in law, only with a long Lincoln style beard. They were quite happy with it.

I digitized all of my mom and stepdad's 8mm movies. They forgot I had them and were thrilled to be able to view them. Some were as old as 1989. I also showed them how to edit the video and burn them onto DVD's.
