    Favorite Christmas Song.

First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody.

I'm am not really a huge Christmas Spirit kinda guy, and am pretty sick of most of the "Classic" Christmas songs.

That said, here is a new one (at least new to me) I think is pretty much a total winner. Enjoy.

    What's your favorite?

I've really come to love Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." My mom used to love Andy Williams and she'd play that bombastic song first thing every season. So it connects me to my childhood, and it's just a good, joyous song. It's also hard to beat Bing's "White Christmas" and Nat's version of "The Christmas Song".

For spiritual songs O Holy Night seems to have almost usurped Silent Night lately. I do like the song, and I like Josh Groban's version. I really dig Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLaughlin's rendition of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings".

I like Carol of the Bells pretty well.

Willie Nelsons "Deck the Halls" is one of the worst, and I like him, usually.

Brenda Lee is hard to beat though.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'd say that song, and YES, "Wonderful Christmastime" by McCartney and Wings..

TOTALLY SERIOUS ~ I love playing that song with the video at xmas time. Drives my wife (and most folks..) nuts, but I love Laurence Juber's lead guitar parts on it.

The live version's even better on 'Last Flight' the '79 Wings UK Tour bootleg.

PS: I'm in the minority here for liking that song, 'like I care..
