Well Mego-Heads, I'm off the see the wizard (Ok, The Falcon) in the Big Apple. I will try to send pics from there, or maybe even a video, (w/ Shawn's help)! Be safe, look after each other and have a very Merry Christmas!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
No, I just dislike most Yankees fans. I'll elaborate since it's really slow at work today and I'm bored out of my mind. I say most as there are a couple of very diehard Yankee fans, couple from here couple from my business/personal life who I enjoy conversing with very much. I've gotten better though. I used to say most New Yorkers but in the past few years I've gotten to make many friends from NY due to my son going to school there and the large number of people from here and in business that I've met. The dislike is usually tied to the pinstripes. Sorry.
Truthfully, since the Sox won a couple, the rivalry is no where near as exciting to me anymore. I think I enjoyed being the underdog. The amount of money the Yankees spent last year just goes to prove it bothered them more than us and spending is the only way they'll win a title. It's not like anything they did, other than write a check contributed to that. They tried to do it utilizing their own home grown talent for years, and failed miserably. Now they've gone and all but traded them all away. They spent over 2 billion dollars on payroll from title to title and then built a new stadium in a down economy using taxpayer backed bonds in a state where unemployment was at record highs. That would never happen here. Hell the Patriots couldn't even get state subsidizing to build a new stadium on land they already owned, before the economy went in the toilet.
My biggest gripe is if the Yankees continue to spend like that the league is going to end up implementing a cap which is gonna really screw over the teams in the big markets, including the Sox. Though it will probably be better for baseball in general. The only possible benefit is we definitly are better at producing home grown talent than any of the other big market teams so a cap would probably hurt us less than say the Yankees or Dodgers.
As a Sox fan I don't look at the Yankees winning a title any differently than I do that Bill Gates drives a better car than me. It's just a money deal.
OK I'm done. Almost time to call it a day and start the alcohol and laden festivities.
A Happy and healthy Merry Christmas to all.
Yes, even Yankees fans...I guess I'm feeling the Christmas spirit...
Can someone say the Patriots suck I still have a little time to kill.
