Never leave home without your camera

So, I am on a 2 week vacation from work (a much needed 2 weeks as I haven't had a regular workday off since June). I am on the way home from Wally Mart, and I glance over and see an awesome kodak moment and I DO NOT have my friggin camera. I break all speed laws going home and, thankfully, when I get back, nothing much has changed. I park across the street and stand at the guardrail to capture this. About 50 cars and four - 18 wheelers are doing 55 miles per hour about 2 feet from me as there isn't much of a shoulder. However, it was well worth it.

Then I remembered another shot I have wanted to get for years so I drove to this decrepit garage and got this shot. Both of these are getting printed and framed soon.

Those are nice. I really like that garage shot.

Yeah, that's one of my favorites. I have been driving by that for years and telling myself to take my camera and get some shots. It's at an intersection of two minor highways, so it's not an easy spot to stand and take photos. I popped in to the Turkey Hill market across the street to get a drink and everyone was asking me why I was taking pictures.

oh wow I love that garage photo ... I dabble in photography and see so many things I'd love to snap a picture of, most times I have a camera with, but no time to stop.

Yeah, some folks just don't get the beauty in images like that.
                  It's all good!

The brook was nice, but.... i've got about 20 canadian geese that just won't leave our front yard and just make a mess. So that one didn't move me. Now the garage in B&W all closed up stark like that just echo's the past and how life moves on. very nice.
