I was shocked to hear this. It was reported in the NY Post that her hollywood lifestyle-too much drugs, too little food, and perhaps influence from her weirdo husband, who has a bad rep in many cirlces, cauased her downwards spiral. She was really cute and had a lot of potential. I had seen her in Clueless, Little Black Book and Sin City. I have not seen her in the film she did with Ashton Kutcher. I think it's possible her breakup with him left her heartbroken a little. Maybe she never got over it and hence the drug use, etc.

Brittany Murphy was actually a pretty decent actress...and she was cute.

She was a tad chubby earlier in her career (like in the movie Clueless)...but over the years...she started getting thinner and thinner.

She died of cardiac arrest.

I suspect from anorexia nervosa.

RIP.

I'll echo these sentiments. People who dismiss others deaths due to drugs with an "oh well, serves them right" attitude need to get off their high horses.
