When you're too old to play video games

So last night my friend's and I had our fantasy football draft. After the draft one of their kids asked to play boxing on the Wii. I turned it on and handed the first control to the kid, and then handed the other to my friend Ron. Ron has tendonitis (sp?) in his shoulder and could not play, so I then handed it to my friend Scott who said he can't due to an elbow problem that he's awaiting surgery for, right then Rob walks back into the room and I give the remote to him, but he declines due to a bad back. I have a locked up shoulder. I can play the boxing game, but it is painfull. Four grown men that are too feeble and injured to play a video game. Sad.

That's too funny, and about sums up our age well. Too injured to play video games. Heh, when I was a kid, I used to wonder why pro athletes would retire in their late 30's. It seemed so young. Now I know, we can't even play a video game without pain.

I had something similar; My neighbor got a new ping pong table in his garage and I walked over to hit a few. After one game, my shoulder was killing me and that is my right shoulder and I am left handed. I have a calcium deposit/bone spur under my collar bone that cuts into the shoulder muscle. I need surgery to have it ground down.

We bought the Wii for the girls and put it back for Christmas. I thought I might go ahead and pick up a couple of games. Any suggestions on what works well and what to avoid? And what about accessories... which ones will I need?

Oh... the girls are 8 years old and 16 years old.

You'll want at least one extra remote and nunchuk. There's a bundled remote that come with more sports games. You WILL want those games. The sports games are a lot of fun, and I'm not a sports games guy. Mario Party 8 is a good multi player, Zelda is a good single player.
                              Rayman's Rabbid Rabbits is fun.
