    Need your help asap!

I snagged this off ebay. On my pc and monitor this appears to be greenish (light green or light green shade), however the item came in today and is fully tan/brown. Does this look greenish to you or does it appear tan/brown

the entire image has a greenish hue. i could see how it is tan/brown by looking at the pic again. probably would of thought the same as you if i hadn't had the info that its tan.
If you need a hole, I can dig it.

Looking at the pic, I would have assumed it was some shade of green too.

thank you because I sent an email to the seller and he told me it appears brown/tan and that my pc color needs adjusting, however I do video on here and my colors are fine. I knew it was his crappy pic.

Nah, I'm looking at this on a monitor with quite accurate colours IMO. If that suit is brown, it's his pic that's making it look green.

Now I need to ask if I can use rit dye on 1/6 scale fabric uniforms?

I would be fooled and expect it to be green by that picture

Look how green the white table is. The auto color balance on the camera is bad. I color corrected the white balance and here is what it should look like.

Still looks green to me, but i'm partially colorblind ... (mostly between greens and blues)

I see what your saying, but I wouldn't give him negative feedback. Anytime I see a poorly lit photo, I always ask questions if I have any doubts. Now, had he said it was green in his description, I would say that was a deception, and that would be worthy of dinging him. But this guy may be a complete novice and didn't think color would figure into the equation when he posted the item for sale. It looks like an example of assumption on both sides. When in doubt, ask.

The seller's biggest mistake was photographing it with a white background that is very close to the object.

White backgrounds should never be used on close-up shots because the camera flash mixed with the white background makes strange things happen to colors and details.

I did not leave him negative feedback, I just let him know the problem. The outfit is exactly what I am looking for (most others have a more open collar and I do not need that) and something I can probably fix with rit fabric dye. I left positive praise regardless

and thanks to the rest of you for letting me know my eyes have not gone not screwy yet

I was going to add that even his hand has a green hue to it from the Ebay listing.

Awesome. That was cool of you to do that. I often hear people complain about things they assumed in an auction and then ding the seller with negative feedback when those ideas don't pan out. There are plenty of sellers out there auctioning stuff out of their attic that have no idea what they are.

I one time made a mistake in posting neutral feedback without trying to work it out with the seller.
So I wrote the most seller offensive "about me" page, I could come up with. I asked for everything I could think of in a transaction. If sellers can use the auction description to describe what they expect from a buyer in a transaction, shouldn't they understand if a buyer has some expectations? Guess what I found out? You guessed it.
Let's just say I learned alot about ebay in that first year.
For my one year ebay birthday, I deleted my "about me" page. It's amazing how much of ebay rules you will read when a seller wants to get even in a transaction.
