We are planning to phase out the raffle (though maybe not the custom raffle - it is up to Brian and Dave.) It ends up costing a lot for Dave in terms of time and postage, and I don't think (Brian will correct me if I'm wrong) we even brought in $1000 last time.

The Amazon link doesn't bring in that much - maybe $100/year, which DOES help. (The actual costs for the server, bandwidth, yearly domain registration and yearly software renewal is $1629)

We don't want anyone to donate unless they can afford to do so, and the Museum is NOT going away.

Out of curiosity (I know there was a long and helpful explanation of servers and fees and all that about a year ago), how much is the MM in the hole? How long with the $1500 keep the lights on?

What about the Meet Raffle/Custom Auction and the Amazon Link? Does that stuff count toward the $1500?

Folks have pride and that can be a hard thing to set aside, especially during the holidays. This forum is a fairly tight knit group and some may even consider others family. That being said, if anyone here truly needs financial help all they need do is ask.
