    "Batteries not included"....Oh yeah?

I remember when I was a kid, I usually asked for a mechanical doll for my birthday or Christmas. If it cried, walked, talked, danced, sang or crawled, I probably owned it. But my parents always made sure that when my present was unwrapped, the batteries were already in the doll, ready to play with. As a result, it was quite a while before I believed the "batteries not included" disclaimer on the toy commercials.

What about you? Did your presents come with or without batteries?

      Hmmmm....

I remember a lot of Japanese toys would come with batteries. But since as a kid I wasn't aware that they were from Japan I always thought that robot toys came from the future....
