    RIP Walter Koenig

Just saw that Walter Koenig passed yesterday at age 90. His legacy is huge and he will not be forgotten. Reset well Chekov.

Oh man. Also, Michael Forest (Apollo) died on the 14th. He was 97. At least they both lived long and hopefully prospered

90 years is a long time. I am still bummed that he was not included in Season FOUR of the original series by Filmation, due to lack of money. And I know the Star Trek community will fell the impact.

      Rest in peace, Mr. Koenig.

sad news. and then there were 2. Shatner and Takei are the last of the original cast. Walter always seemed like such a kind person. RIP!

I hope Shatner and Takei can make some amends I know there is a riff between them. So Star Trek was 60 years ago and it doesn't seem that long ago but it was if Walter was 30 at the time and he passed at 90. I found it funny he was hired as Chekov due to his resemblence to Davy Jones. May he RIP.

Just heard about this earlier today, very sad news for sure, he had a long good life that I know of, and you never heard anything negative about him thru the post Star Trek years. Shatner and Takei are the only ones left from the original series, I hope with the passing of Koenig that they can both put aside their decades feud. RIP Walter.

I was initially a little put off by Chekov because he eclipsed Sulu. But I grew to like him, and Koenig was a great guy from what I've seen. I liked him on Babylon 5, too.

RIP, Pavel--and Walter. I hope he and Anton Yelchin are sharing stories somewhere, knowing fans loved them.

When I think of Walter Koenig, I think of the many many good years of enjoyment that he gave. -especially thankful to see him in the original series Star Trek movies. One of my favorite individuals. I love him in Babylon 5 as well. Fond memories of an actor who always stood out to me. It was also great seeing his cameo in Columbo. I'd like to learn more about Walter's stage play work. I was reminded that he wrote an episode of Star Trek: The Animated Series, and, I think, an episode for Land of the Lost. He was interviewed in at least one Star Trek special or documentary. A very talented, creative and kind person.

I remember seeing him at a few Star Trek conventions in the late 80s/early 90s... while I know it was just a paycheck gig for him, he seemed to truly enjoy interacting with the fans and he had a great sense of humor. He seemed like a good and genuine person. RIP.
