That 4-1 score was really great. Some incredible footballers out there. Looking forward to seeing England, Hungary, Sweden and Scotland play. Great time for Football.

Even a fair weather soccer fan needs to watch the World Cup, since it’s the best players from around the world competing against each other. I live about 30 minutes north from Gillette Stadium where the NFL Patriots play, now the stadium is being called Boston stadium for some of the World Cup games.

The Scotland vs Hati game was the first, not sure what other teams are playing there? I think the next game is Tuesday night between Norway and Iraq.

My neighbors daughter works for the stadium staff, I’ll have to ask her how it’s going, especially the tailgate parties. It must be a great atmosphere, in a crazy kind of way.

Besides wanting the USA to win it all, I’m rooting for France too.

I'm American. But I moved to London for work over 25 years ago. Being from San Diego, I didn't have any clue about how passionate people could be about sport(s).

Last night, at a party watching both World Cup matches and the NBA Finals, I found myself reminiscing about seeing David Beckham hit a free kick against Greece to get England into the World Cup 25+ years ago. Being in a pub in London with no clue at the time, I could feel that passion and energy among literally everyone else in that moment, and in that one little nondescript, corporate urban chain pub. I instinctively knew that that same energy and focus and hopes and dreams of a Nation were being felt in that moment in 1,000 other places all across Britain, and that David Beckham must have been well aware of that energy and The Moment for the entire Country as he took that kick.

Never forgot that. Last night, I was at a watch party with a bunch of NY Knicks fans that ended up, hours later, at a McDonalds. And, while I've never been a 'McDonald's guy,' I did passionately ask to please be given the David Beckham cup wth my World Cup meal.

It is cool how passionate the fans are! I was born in Spain but lived in the USA most of my life. So I’m rooting for both teams.
I live in the DFW area and would love to go to a game but tix are so expensive!

The Germany/Curacao game was great. Though I thought it rather unfair to put a team playing their first match ever in world cup, against Germany. though at least they did score one
