    Mego Horrible Mummy head inspiration

I have a dumb question or observation. Don't know if anybody has an answer or opinion, or even cares. It's something I've wondered about since I was a kid. I noticed that the Mad Mummy didn't look like any other I had seen in the movies. Then I saw Assignment Terror for the first time as a kid, and believe it or not thought, "that looks like my mummy figure". Maybe the sculptors looking for a mummy that didn't look like the Universal one saw this movie and modeled it after it. Always wondered why the bandages were wrapped around the face that way. Could just be a coincidence. More important things in the world to think about I suppose.

Could be. There was a lot of mummy stuff around in the 60s and 70s. I don't know if all of it is "lost" media these days, but definitely forgotten media. Mummies on TV and the like. We tend to focus on the big movies these days but during the "mummy craze" there was a lot of ancillary stuff that's kinda been lost to time.
