    RIP Sid Krofft

Sid Krofft, who with his brother Marty was the architect of so much Saturday morning iconic entertainment, has passed at age 96.

    His legacy will endure.

I went to People dotcom and alll I got was BS Drama and didn't see anything on Sid Krofft.

This Obituary seems more in line.

Sid Krofft, a puppeteer who along with brother Marty Krofft created zany children's shows like "H.R. Pufnstuf" and "Land of the Lost," has died.

I did meet the two wonderful men at Comic con many years ago and they were both as friendly as you can imagine. I spoke more to Marty then I did Sid. It was Marty who told me that most of the episodes of The LOST SAUCER were lost and only the one that were on VHS were the only ones available.

NO ONE who was born in the last 30 years can UNDERSTAND what SATURDAY MORNING was to those of us who lived in that time period. Between Bill & Joe @ Hanna & Barbera; Hal, Lou & Norman @ FILMATION; You had three entities who PIONERRED a Movement that to this day is unrivaled! It was always a HARD CHOICE trying to decide what to watch in that era where you didn't have video recorders, dvd recorders, this Steaming-Crap (Whatever it is). And if like me, in a family of SIX, you had to either share the single TV set or fight over it! HAHAHHA!

I am lucky that as a young/Octogenarian I get to meet a lot of young chicks and when they tell me that they want to be "Influencers" I look at them and despite looking hottt; I see the Stupidity in their faces.

      'sigh'

Unless your name(s) are Bruce, Baker, Lennon, Kirby, Perez, Ellison, I can go on for hours and into different genre's...

You are NOT Influencing JackChet!!!! Sorry ladies, get a steady job and a steady head on you're shoulders.

Did they know they made people happy? Oh yeah, They knew and the love and applause at Comic Con was apparent. The look of joy on Sid's face when this one lady presented him a hand painted portrait was priceless.

I am so damn lucky to have been in that time period and so lucky that I have the damn video Library to prove it.

Thank you Both SID and Marty. Rest in peace. True Influencers.
