A day after hearing about Catherine's death, we hear about Desmond. While I was never a big fan of "Sanford and Son," there is no denying the hit TV sitcom featured fantastic chemistry between Redd Foxx and his on-screen son Desmond Wilson. He played the role from 1972-1977. Like many other actors, he left the industry and became an ordained minister. I always liked Desmond. Even though his stint in Hollywood was not that long, it was certainly memorable. Desmond died of cancer at age 79.
