We just finished watching on Netflix: The Thursday Murder Club
    OIP (11).jpg
Four irrepressible retirees spend their time solving cold case murders for fun, but their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn when they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.

We all enjoyed this movie so it is a family movie...ish.

This morning BG & I watched Greenland 2 Migration. We also had chicken pot pie for lunch.
      IMG_20260109_112127.jpg
It was strange to watch a post-apocalyptic without zombies or aliens just mankind at it worse.

Good movie if you see part one on HBO.

I might have to look into that one.

          It looks good.

I watch new Marvel movies on Disney+, but a lot of the time, I watch classic movies and series, or old things that I missed before.

I recently watched Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic.

That new Masters of the Universe may be surprising.

Interesting movies to look forward to seeing.

            Saw "Roofman" (2025)

Pretty crazy real-life story about a guy hiding out in a '90s Toys R Us. It's well-acted, and everybody looks like a real person here. I thought they all did a great job, and the story is fun, but I did find it a bit long. Some fun TRU nostalgia there for those who miss it.

I think I will check this out, it’s on Paramount + which I have and it’s based on a true story, worth taking a look.

It is a shame that there were not more action figures to form teams.

Friday we watched the first movie and it was good. The second one was just as fun and had a surprise guest star. Well worth the time this morning.

I saw the new Resident Evil movie yesterday. This is of course based on the video game series, and there were previous movies as well.

I was pretty interested in seeing this one, as the director Zach Cregger is doing some really good stuff. I loved his most recent movie Weapons, and Barbarian as well. He blends humor in with suspense very well.

I really enjoyed this movie, quite a ride and I'd go see it again in the theater right now. Humor is there, and some jump scares and recognizable actors too. Just a neat movie!

We just watched Apple TV Matchbox the movie
                          matchbox-the-movie-triumph-scrambler-1200-xe-01-1200x1760.jpg
When a group of former childhood friends reconnect, their reunion takes a wild turn as they stumble upon a dangerous international plot—and must save the world.

This was just a knock-off of Fast and the Furious but with John Cena. Over all it was a fun movie.

                            Roofman sounds good.

I watch some new movies, but I mostly watch old ones.

I watched the original Swamp Thing recently.

I'm also watching the movie related Freddy's Nightmares. The episodes are turning out to be better than I remembered. They may have used cheap video cameras, or something, to make it - but I enjoy it. I feel that it's good to have a different variety of things, and that everything doesn't have to be super sharp. (aside from Freddy's blades) It's easy to get used to ultra high definition, especially for some 1960's to 1980's movies on real film, but other movies in lower quality formats can be just as fun. Plus, movies shot on video are just like I like them, how they are in memory, like one Chuck Norris movie and movies that were made direct to video. So glad that they are still around.

Just came back from You Can See Everything. I enjoy when grifters, such as Sam Bankman-Fried, get sent to the Big House, but after 3 hours of this documentary, I'm having mixed feelings about Holmes. If/when you see it, you'll know why. I stumbled across this documentary a few weeks ago on YouTube, never knowing who Nathan Fielder was. Saw a few episodes of Nathan For You after that, and I was in. Though I never heard of him, everyone else in the sold-out show seemed to have, as they all ate-up his subtle sarcasm.
