When I saw this young Nimoy picture I thought

I agree, Nimoy did look older, at roughly the same age, but since we are seeing the characters BEFORE we knew them from the series, a slightly younger looking Spock makes sense.
For whatever reason, Nimoy does look 10 years younger in "The Cage". So when they chose to set it's events in the past in "Menagerie" it really worked! And there Nimoy and Quinto look even more alike in a way.
But, best possible re-casting for Spock for sure.

I wasn't a fan of the Chekov casting as well. I liked Simon Peg in the movie and I think if they give him the chance to be less comic relief, he could grow into the role well.
Interesting note, Nimoy's ear lobes (large lobes) and Quinto's earlobes are different (sort of fade into his neck). Yeah, I need to get a life. lolIt's all good!Comment
