    Terence Stamp RIP (Superman II)

One of my favorite films growing up was "Superman II." I actually enjoyed it more than the original. In the film, without a doubt, my favorite character was Zod. Played by Terence Stamp, he was absolutely perfect as Superman's main nemesis in the film. Yes, Lex Luthor was there as well! However, Zod, along with the other two super villains, they made the film! Terrance nailed the performance with such ease! Terence was always a very good actor. He did so many films. He was actually nominated for an Academy Award. I was fortunate to get his autograph on a "Superman II" poster. He will be missed. Terence was 87.

I will always remember Terence in Superman as Zod and in Adventures of Prisella Queen of the Desert.

Eerie personal coincidence just now. I just got home from doing some Sunday shopping. I stopped at a Target I happened to pass while driving to another store, not because I needed anything there, but to check to see if they had the Spin Master retro Superman Movie figures on the shelves. And the only one they had was a single Zod figure. If I had to choose just one figure from this line, it would've been this one. As a kid, when I saw Superman II in the cinema, he was my favorite aspect. So I enthusiastically bought it. I just got home a few minutes ago, put all of my groceries and other purchases away, and then saw this news of the passing of Terence Stamp....

Really good actor in anything he did. I remember him as Michael Douglas’s rival in Wall Street - “you’re getting a free ride on my tail, mate…”

When I was younger I actually didn't realize that was him in Young Guns at first.
