    2025 Movie "Weapons"

My oldest son wanted to go see the movie Weapons that opened this weekend. Julie Garner, Josh Brolin and Benedict Wong are in it. I've seen the trailer for it and thought it looked interesting.

Wow it's quite a ride! Cool premise, quite tense and I felt it was done well with interesting storytelling angles... Had some humor too! Really enjoyed this movie a lot!

I feel I probably wouldn't have called it "Weapons", but I understand the reasoning.

Im not much into modern horror and went in not knowing much but i really enjoyed it..it was a bit of a roller coaster ride. I also liked seeing it in a full theater with everyone engaged & reacting.
I saw this and fantastic four on their respective 2nd weekends (sat afternoon) and its wild how drastic both theater experiences were. FF there were 2 other people in the theater lol while weapons was pretty packed.
Im sure they're inevitably going to make some kind of franchise out of this since the movie has been a success. But i'm good with just this one movie though.

It is certainly a roller coaster ride for sure! Same here, saw FF the weekend before then saw Weapons the next. The Weapons movie had more people in it and they were all reacting to the stuff on the screen.

Funny story, there's a certain way these "Weapons" run with their hands back, and we walked out of the theater and two people behind us took off running in the parking lot running like in the movie and it was a little unnerving.... lol

We went to see this on Saturday, along with Shin Godzilla, and we both really liked it. The different POVs & they way they unfolded was done very well and kept us fully engaged and kept us guessing throughout the film. That final scene had us laughing, not sure if that was the intent though, but it was kinda creepy and funny all at once.

When we left the theater and were walking down the long hallway toward the lobby, a theater down to our right let out at the same time, and a group of lower grade kids came running out across our path laughing and screaming and we just busted up. Fun day!
