    R.I.P. Ruth Ann Buzzi

Ruth Buzzi, a variety-show veteran most famous for her role on "Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In", has died. She was 88.
Buzzi died May 1 at her Texas home, her agent Michael Eisenstadt confirmed to USA TODAY in a May 2 statement.

Buzzi died Thursday of complications from Alzheimer’s at her home near Fort Worth, Texas, her longtime rep, Mike Eisenstadt, told The Hollywood Reporter. In July 2022, her husband, actor Kent Perkins, revealed that she was “bedridden and incapacitated” after suffering a series of strokes.

This hits kind of hard for me. Always positive, funny, delightful and such a fixture in so many of my childhood favorites!

Rest well, dear lady! You were loved!

Always enjoyable, and iconic on Laugh-In. I even recall her from Sesame Street.

I loved Buzzi as Aunt Minerva. RIP.

She was a delight. So legitimately funny, and so willing to be the butt of the joke. Of course she then would hit you with her bag or something. When she showed up, I knew I was in for a good laugh. RIP.

Was a fan of the LOST SAUCER with Jim Nabors and of course LAUGH-IN. Fellow friend and co-star; GOLDIE HAWN posted the following tribute.

Goldie Hawn paid tribute to her late Laugh-In co-star Ruth Buzzi, who brought to life Gladys Ormphby, Agnes Gooch, Doris Swizzle, and others.

            WELL DONE, Goldie!

            RIP Ms. Buzzi
