Patty Maloney, Star Wars Holiday Special and Little House actress, dies at 89.
Maloney was a favorite of producers and puppeteers Sid and Marty Krofft. Patty Maloney, the diminutive actress known for her work with actor Billy Barty and for her role on the cult classic Star Wars Holiday Special, died March 31, her manager confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. She was 89.
She had suffered multiple strokes and had been in hospice care in Winter Park, Fla., her brother, David Myrabo, told The Hollywood Reporter. "For a little person growing up in a big world, she did everything she wanted to do," he said.
