R.I.P. Val Kilmer

th (35).jpg Val Kilmer, a homegrown Hollywood actor who tasted leading-man stardom as Jim Morrison and Batman, but whose protean gifts and elusive personality also made him a high-profile supporting player, died on Tuesday in Los Angeles. He was 65.
The cause was pneumonia.

Despite owning several Kilmer-as-Batman figures, I will always first associate him with Doc Holiday from Tombstone. My roomates and I watched that film daily in college, and the dialog, much of which is Kilmer's, is our common vernacular. Very sad to hear this, but I knew he was quite ill.

Loved him in Real Genius (kind of a proto-Ryan Reynolds in that role), Tombstone, Topsecret!, Doors and Batman. RIP

Val Kilmer will be missed. I liked all the movies that he acted in.

Some like Tombstone are good for repeat viewings.

I enjoyed a lot of them more than once.

Real Genius was cool and interesting, and I like him in Alexander and other films. Willow and popular ones were certainly enjoyable.
