He-Man voice actor John Erwin has passed away

It was announced today that actor and voice actor John Erwin most known for He-Man and Morris the cat passed away at age 88. This one really hits me.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Oh man, me too. He had the perfect heroic voice. It was as warm as it was stoic. His portrayal of He-Man made him seem like a friend, and someone you'd like to emulate. RIP.

        Very well said.

With certain characters, the voice actor comes to signify the character; it's the voice you hear in your head as you play with the toys or enjoy the character in other media like comic/story books. Though I was not a fan of the 'toons, Irwin and Oppenheimer as Skeletor are that for me, for MOTU which is such an enjoyable part of my collecting life.

Chris does put it very well. RIP.

Other actors iconic to me are Stan Jones as Super Friend's Lex Luthor and Kevin Conroy as Batman. Perfect, just like Irwin.

I didn't realize he had voiced Reggie Mantle in the various shows that made up the Archie Cartoon Universe or that he racked up more than a few episodes of "Rawhide".

When the cartoon series showed up, I was a little older, and he was just so synonymous with Morris the cat. I had trouble shaking it, but you couldn't grow up in the 70s without immediately recognizing his voice.
