Despite the fact he was in many, many, many shows, game shows, and movies, Earl Holliman was not a well-known name. Yet, TV buffs will know him, if for no other reason, he was the first actor to ever appear in the first episode of "Twilight Zone." In addition, he also appeared in 91 episodes of "Police Story" with Angie Dickinson. Years ago, when he made an appearance on "Super Password," he told the story of how his mom loved playing "Dirty" Scrabble! It was just hilarious. At the time, I never knew "Dirty" Scrabble exited until I looked it up and read the rules of the game (simply classic)! He was always a very entertaining guy -- smart as well. He made many, many game show appearances. Earl was 96.
