Chuck Woolery, the American game show, talk show host, actor, and musician has died aged 83.
The news was confirmed on X, formerly known as Twitter by his pal, Dr. Mark Young, with a tribute reading: "It is with a broken heart that I tell you that my dear brother @chuckwoolery has just passed away.

It was around 4 years after Batman '66 ended when the Saturday morning preview was aired and Chuck Woolery played Superman was a surprise.

Years ago, I saw him in an interview. It was really hilarious when he was talking about "Love Connection." When the ratings started to go south, because viewers did not want to hear/see about couples that had a good time on their dates, the producers started getting people who hated each other on their dates. The ratings went through the roof -- smut sells! He was always a fantastic gameshow host. "Greed" should have lasted a lot longer than one season.
