    Cryptids UFOs and Other Weirdness

What’s your short take on topics like this?
Sasquatch and the similar cryptids are probably bears. My theory is that a tiny number of bears get a genetic illness maaaybe similar to human giantism and grow huge and misshapen. There are never more than a few of them and the descriptions vary because the course of the disease varies. They don’t look like bears because they just look weird. They don’t move like people
or bears because they are so misshapen. Just my theory.

I've personally seen some things I can't explain, but even with that I think these are just that. Things we can't explain away. It's no different than primitive people seeing the sun disappear, or lights streaking across the sky.

My youngest son did a Cryptid project for school for a science fair type of thing and it was for regional stuff. We found all sorts of info, and police reports etc etc... neat project honestly. But no proof aside from people's accounts, and to be honest with you, I don't trust too many people these days. I might be able to share that project here if anyone wants to see it.

With that, I would welcome UFO's, Ghosts and unexplained beasts to show up at my door, I would be freaking thrilled. I would love a ghost to set up shop in my house, I'd be making bank on it's ghastly butt by live-streaming it 24X7.

Full on skeptic, but sill fascinated by folklore and spooky tales, and well versed in most Western, and Japanese (as well as a few from other continents) beasties.

Big fan of the fact that the Sasquatch has subspecies. It amuses me that we went Darwinian on something that doesn't exist.

There's also a chance that I dated a Kappa in Japan.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

Here in Alabama we have The Face in the Glass
Part 1 of Kelly Kazek's 13 Days of Alabama Halloween, a series of brief stories uncovering lesser-known tales about the holiday.

As a youngster, I remember sneaking out to hear my Mom and relatives talking about “dog-headed” babies.

My Mother’s brother and family was awakened by barking to see something like a housecoat moving up and down the road.

No smiling…a dead giveaway for most stories.

I think it's a mix of scammers, hoaxers and honest misidentification.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
