    Shelley Duvall RIP

One of my all-time favorite films is "The Shining." As great as Jack Nicholson, Scatman Crothers, and Danny Lloyd all were in that film, and they were, without Shelley Duvall, the film would not have worked. She was just terrific as Wendy! The film is just a masterpiece. She was part of that magic! Probably even more than her acting in the film, were all the articles/interviews on how much she couldn't stand working with the director Stanley Kubrick. Yet, the end result was near perfection.

I also enjoyed her As Olive Oil in "Popeye." She was the perfect choice. While the film was not that great, she fit the bill perfectly! She worked well with Robin Williams! Ironically, Robin once said "Popeye" was a very good film, and easy to understand, if you watched it backwards!

Shelley, always a good actress, was 75.

Those two films are probably the only ones I remember her in. And she was great in “The Shining”.
And you’re right, she was perfect for Olive Oil. “Popeye” is a movie I need to revisit.
    RIP!
