    [Deal] Any Old Prisoner Fans...?

I didn't particularly care for this series, but...

Here is a pretty good deal on the entire series (10 DVD's) from Amazon w/Free Shipping:

Amazon.com: The Prisoner: The Complete Series Megaset (Collector's Edition): Patrick McGoohan: Movies TV

$ 28.99 is pretty good for a set this big.

Yeah, a very good deal indeed.
They're probably pushing these as part of the "remake".

Nice to have a fellow Harlock fan here, btw....

Cool, hope it will drop a bit more. 10 dvd's but its only a couple episodes per disc.

So tired of this "three eps per disc" rip-off.
I wonder how many episodes they can really fit on one disc?

          It's by A&E Home Video

They do the 3-episodes per disc with everything they release.

Did the same thing with Thunderbirds, Space 1999, etc.

As far as how many 1 hour episodes can actually fit on a 1 sided disc, Starsky and Hutch DVD's regularly have 6-7 episodes on each disc and the quality is fine... As a matter of fact i've shrunk a few S&H 6 episodes DVD's down to single-layer DVD-R size and the quality was still fine.

A&E Home Video puts on less episodes per disc for the sole purpose of giving them an excuse to charge high prices because their seasons contain many discs.

BBC Video does the same thing with Doctor Who The New Series.

If BBC Video really wanted to they could fit 13 epsiodes on 2-3 discs, but if they did that they couldn't charge $80.00 per season.
