What'cha eating?

With my Dad's new diet plan I have had to rethink some foods. He is on a no-salt and gallbladder problem so I have had to go back and do more mans on cooking.

Today was red sausage with scratch made gravey with home-made mashed potatoes with peas and corn and biscuits.

You forget just how long it takes to boil potatoes and then mash them by hand

Made my Asian BF happy with the new LAYS chips: Korean-Style Fries Chicken.
It does taste like spicy fried chicken and it leaves that spicy flavor in your mouth. The bag is now empty...

Today dinner was tuna salad sandwich potato salad and side salad.

Again since my Dad is on a strick diet I have to make everything to replace the salt and cut back on the mayo. Even had to make a salad dressing that he would eat.

Bangers and Mash!

It's funny that for Sunday Dinner we spend a little more. I guess it dates back to having everybody eating together for a meal.

Today was ham steak slice with baked sweet potato, Lima beans & Corn with a summer salad (cucumber, onion, tomatoes with apple cider vinegar and pepper). This meal comes to under $5 a person thanks to HEB prices.

Those look delicious. 's me some KrispyKreme! I remember when the first location near us opened up. We drove there and waited in this long line that started in the parking lot and wound into the shop. This old guy walked in and went straight to a Manager asking what this 'waiting in line for a donut' nonsense was about. The Manager went over to the conveyor belt, grabbed a fresh one and gave it to him. Methuselah had a bite, shut the hell up and got his as5 in line.

Tonight we tried a new Blue Bell ice cream Orange Swirl with Orange Crush Bundt cake. This two really go together.

Tomato pork tenderloin & veggies
Picked up a pork tenderloin on clearance HEB so using half of it for Sunday Dinner was affordable. With diced carrots, celery and potatoes and one can of tomato soup & one can of water this was an easy meal.
