    RIP Ron Harper ("Alan Virdon" & "Uncle Jack")

    Actor Ron Harper, probably best known as Alan Virdon from "Planet of the Apes" and Uncle Jack from "Land of the Lost" has passed away at age 91.

                That's just sad... Sad, but at the same time it reminds me of a story (I believe I mentioned on these forums before): The story is when Yahoo! used to have their chat/message boards, on one of the pages devoted to the "Planet of the Apes" television series, there was a member of the board who thought that Mego's "Starsky & Hutch" figures were just redressed Burke and Virdon figures and she said "Ain't commerce grand"-I quickly set her straight and even linked her to these forums so she could see that 'S&H' were indeed totally different head sculpts compared to Burke & Virdon.

                I guess people are still making the same (unfortunate) mistakes.
